Schoenbach discusses his first meeting with Stokowski when Schoenbach was a student at Juilliard; and Stokowski's decision to hire him to play with the Philadelphia Orchestra in 1937. He mentions Albert Stoessel, Benny Herrmann, Eugene Ormandy, Orson Welles, Angelo Matera, Al Godlis, Manny Roth, Edna Phillips, Sammy Mayes, Ferdinand Del Negro, Henry Schmidt, Mason Jones, and Arturo Toscanini, among others, in reference to the Philadelphia Orchestra and the All-American Youth Orchestra's trip to Latin America in 1940. He discusses Stokowski's background as an organist for St. Bartholomew's; his ability to change the color of tones in an orchestra; Stokowski conducting and recording Peter and the Wolf for children; Stokowski's stories about his family background; and mentions Olga Samaroff Stokowski and Greta Garbo.
